I support the movement towards change in our community by doing and promoting anti-racism work. I stand in solidarity with protestors, healers, and community members advocating for justice. I believe that Black Lives Matter. I also recognize that racism in America extends far deeper than police brutality and the most recent unnecessary deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and countless others. While I, as a clinician, work to be inclusive and supportive of my clients, I also recognize that simply providing a safe space is not enough. I am committed to continued activism, learning, listening, and educating in honor of my past, present, and future clients.

“It’s not all about me. Even though I’m in pain, it’s worth sticking around to maybe make my little bit of the corner a better place for someone else. Happiness is amazing. It’s so amazing it doesn’t matter if it’s yours. It’s that lovely thing. A society grows great when old people plant trees, the shade of which they know they’ll never sit in. Good people do things for other people.

As a Native American woman, I am always afraid to go to a new healthcare provider. All too often providers have no cultural competency and rely on stereotypes to “inform” their interactions with Native clients. Sarah is, without a doubt, a true ally. She is supportive and knowledgeable when working with Indigenous people and shows up in a way that recognizes the nuanced layers of identity we carry. She has been a blessing in my life and an ally in my healing.

Sarah has been a fantastic help on the road to my gender transitioning process. She’s also been an indispensable help with my anxiety and has helped me navigate life’s rough waters. She is an excellent therapist and kind and loving person. It has been a joy working with her, and I will miss our talks! I cannot recommend her enough, especially for LGBTQ help.

I came to therapy after my husband attempted suicide. I was overwhelmed, scared, and desperately in need of support. Sarah was compassionate, kind and most importantly hopeful. She helped me understand depression, chemical dependency and codependency, and also gave me tools to find joy in a really dark time. I’ve continued to work with Sarah after my family crisis was resolved and she has provided a safe place to explore myself. I feel very blessed for the space Sarah has provided for me.
JJ

My work with Sarah has made a profoundly positive impact on my life, and I am very grateful for her. It has been nearly three years since I began therapy and though it was not my first time seeing a therapist, it was the first time I felt completely safe, supported and free to surrender to the process. That process has allowed me to start healing while I learn and engage new skills. I experience my progress every day and it feels so good! My life and lifestyle is not mainstream; I am a queer person and Sarah has always made me feel accepted and respected and has the understanding, experience and vocabulary to work with me in an authentic way that truly helps.

I found Sarah Jolley at one of the lowest points in my life. She helped me through a crisis of personal identity that I do not know I would’ve made it out of alive had she not been there to help me come to know myself as a gay, non-binary person living with obsessive compulsive disorder. Talking with her has always made me feel at ease with the uncomfortable sides of myself. She has helped me come farther with myself than anyone else ever has, and provided somewhere safe and comfortable to work on that in a time where such spaces are more and more difficult to come by. I could not recommend her enough.

Sarah is one of the best counselors I have had the pleasure of meeting and working with. Not only is she compassionate and empathetic, she also provides priceless guidance. She will tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear, and she does in a very respectful, positive way. She has a wealth of knowledge and resources. If she does not know the answer or feels you could benefit from alternative therapy, she will point you in the right direction. She truly has your entire wellbeing in mind. I would recommend her to anyone at any stage of the mental health journey. Whether it is your first time seeing a counselor ever, or you have exhausted all of your options, Sarah is a person worth meeting.
ES

Sarah is not only informative and attentive to my questions, she’s patient and understanding with helping me figure out complex and sometimes unexplored areas of my own mental health. She is very interested in letting you heal and explore at your ow pace while also providing many tools and resources to do further research. I cannot thank her enough for not only knowing the local Trans care resources, but also how to defend those rights when needed. She’s also super easy to talk to and I cannot recommend her enough.
LG

I sought out Sarah for guidance through feelings of anxiety and powerlessness, in part due to having recently becoming a stepparent. While my life is no less chaotic now, I attribute Sarah to the shift in my behavior that has enabled me to recognize my own projections, identify real problems and seek actionable solutions to them. I would recommend her to anyone seeking a relaxed, comfortable approach to digging your way out.
SW

Sarah has provided me with such a rich and beneficial counseling experience. I was fortunate enough to find Sarah during an incredibly difficult transition period in my life. Working with her gave me a place to process and grow; provided me strength and support. I do not know how much more difficult the last year would have been without her!
VA

Sarah is steadfast and encouraging and has given me the little pushes I needed to do the tough work of mindful self-acceptance.  I particularly appreciate her open (yet research-based) willingness to share alternative healing techniques within her more traditional counseling practice.  Sarah is a great resource for anyone trying move toward balance and harmony through the bogs of self-criticism, attachment issues, and relationship anxiety.

I’m a queer, hapa, trans man in my 40s. As such, I have struggled to find someone who I can trust and confide in.  Sarah is a great therapist!  I feel comfortable and relaxed in her space and with her.  She is aware and competent with: intersectional oppression, lgbtq issues, parenting/step parenting, socioeconomic issues, codependency, interpersonal dynamics, polyamory, pan sexuality, work/life stress and balance. She is a great advocate and ally who is aware of her targetship and agency. I’ve had my fair share of therapists and she is THE BEST!
JD

I started working with Sarah about three years after initially deciding to go to counseling. My hesitations lessened as I started working with her. Sarah’s approach is no-nonsense and incredibly non-invasive. I felt supported, but never babied, as we sometimes want to be in counseling; challenged, but never prodded. Throughout the two years of working together, she was an integral mirror for me to really begin and continue teasing out relationship habits and patterns wound deeply into myself. I highly recommend working with Sarah, especially if going through a life transition.
OP

Sarah has been an invaluable partner in my mental health journey. She has worked with me to understand my anxiety triggers and given me tools to cope with and work through flares as they come up. Sarah listens to you and provides paths to choose from in order to move beyond where you began.
JH

Sarah has made such an impact in my life. She has shown me that I am so much stronger than I ever knew. I would recommend her to anyone who needs tools to work through life.
AR

Sarah is a reliable, caring, and resourceful therapist. While working with Sarah I felt heard and prioritized even when I needed help outside of the office, by being available over text. Sarah pushed me out of my comfort zone, helped me connect with the world, and find my own strength.
EW

As my therapist, Sarah Jolley has shown great compassion and understanding. Having someone so supportive in my corner has been a blessing, bringing me great peace of mind. I highly recommend her services to those in need.
AB

It has been incredibly refreshing to work with Sarah Jolley.  She has helped me move through challenging times with greater grace than I knew I had. She has guided me as I have sought to seize hold of the wisdom that allows me to live freely in the present moment. Sarah has been an invaluable resource in my quest for wholeness.
MM

Sarah has helped my life in so many ways. She has given me tools to help my anxiety, and has helped to greatly improve my life-view!
EM

Sarah was my therapist for over two years. When I first went to see her, it was for something I thought was very minor, but at the time seemed like a big deal to me. Sarah helped me open the door to why I did the things I did and why I was experiencing so much anxiety. She also helped me overcome the things that I discovered as I continued to work with her. There were things I learned about myself that I never knew. Sarah helped me realize that regardless of what I have been through, I am strong and I am worthy.
KW

I’ve worked with Sarah on and off for the past three years, and in that time my self knowledge, self-awareness, and ability to shift and rewrite limiting belief systems and patterns has grown immensely. Sarah is a compassionate and wise counselor. She asks relevant and insightful questions that help me get to the heart of the matter, and push me to advocate for myself and my needs in relationships, at work, and in life in general. Her recommendations and observations have, over the years, gently nudged me towards expansion, and for this I will always be grateful to her. She is a knowledgeable professional with a diverse range of experience, and an understanding of power dynamics, trauma, and oppression. Perhaps most importantly, she has a deep and intuitive ability to meet her patients where they are at with utmost respect and patience. I highly recommend Sarah to anyone who is longing to live a more flourishing and fulfilling life, and who is ready to begin the work that it takes to grow.

Sarah has been a huge support and reliable adult in my life for almost 3 years now. The incredible advice, help with introspection, and true understanding she provides is unlike any therapist I’ve worked with. She has watched me grow and has been a solid, caring sounding board. I’m so grateful for having her in my life.

Sarah his very comfortable to talk to. I can trust her. It is nice to have someone I can talk to who is not my mom. I like having something in my life that is just about me.

I have seen Sarah for 3 1/2 years. I originally came to her because I was experiencing problems with OCD. After dealing with the symptoms of OCD and anxiety, I saw her again for some aggression at school. It’s great to see Sarah and have someone to talk to about my daily life. She provides a great support and will listen to you without judgement or criticism.

When my parents told me they were taking me to see a therapist at first, I said I didn’t want to go and that I wouldn’t talk at all. But when I came to see Sarah she was really easy to talk to and didn’t look like a therapist in a movie at all. Her office was not scary, and I felt comfortable.

Sarah has seen my daughter through some of the tougher moments of her teenage life. Her ability to navigate the emotions and feelings of this time and the events outside of my daughters control have been masterful. I could not have expected more from a counselor. Sarah is deeply committed to her patients and professional in her approach. She will be missed and difficult to replace.
DK

Sarah has been so understanding and easy to talk too. She creates a good rapport with us as parents, while creating a confidential and trusting environment for our child. Our child has grown to trust her, and it is comforting to know he has another adult in his life that cares and is qualified to help us help him and to help him help himself.
LH and RH

Having Sarah as a counselor has been wonderful. She has been there to help me work through being a parent, navigating the beginning and end of a marriage and she has been a cheerleader when I needed it. My daughter will miss working with her. She has been much more to us than just a counselor, she truly cares about the people she sees.
KS

Best therapist ever! Sarah has been an amazing therapist for our family for the past 3 years. Our three girls came to us from a very unhealthy and neglectful home and finding Sarah was a God send.
